Join our Book Club
Whether you’re an avid reader wanting to share your passion for books with like minded women, simply hoping to get back into the PC (pre-child) habit of reading a grown up book all the way through or merely like the thought of being part of a mum’s book club... a warm welcome to you.
Our current book is The Rosie Project, a romantic comedy described by The Times as "Superb. Endearing, charming and fascinating"
Here is a brief synopsis
When Don, a university lecturer, embarks on a mission to find himself a wife he applies his tried and tested scientific methods. Only love isn't a precise science and when Rosie enters his life Don's orderly world is thrown into chaos with surprising results.
How Our Book Club Works
When each new book launches we will start a thread about it in our Book Club topic on the community section of ruralmums.com.
Join here to discuss our second book, 'The Rosie Project' by Graeme Simsion.
On a particular pre-designated evening, every six weeks or so, we will hold a book club discussion where all members can share their thoughts about the book and discuss it in detail. In the meantime you are welcome to add comments about the book but please don’t give the big plot moments away before our Book Club discussion.
If you have a particular book you’d like to recommend please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. As a general rule we will choose modern books, both fiction and non-fiction, which may or may not have a country connection but we will consider carefully any suggestions.
